Dental hygiene is a necessity for providing overall health. California has passed a law allowing specially trained dental hygienists to provide oral health care to people who cannot get to a dental office.

We at Golden Scalers strive to provide the best dental hygiene care possible for the homebound, the developmentally disabled, and those residing in assisted-living or skilled-nursing facilites.

About Darci Trill, RDHAP:

Darci Trill, the owner of Golden Scalers, is a Registered Dental Hygienist in Alternative Practice and has 20+ years in the dental profession. In 1995 she received the top award in her class for academic and clinical achievement. In 2004 she furthered her education through the University of the Pacific and obtained an additional state board license as a Registered Dental Hygienist in Alternative Practice.

To date she has been interviewed by the Castro Valley Forum, Contra Costa Times, Daily Review, KGO radio, and KRON 4 News. She believes that she can make a difference in providing dental care to people with special needs. Darci hopes to spread public awareness about the importance of oral health care and its relationship to overall health.

Darci also checks for oral cancer (3-5% of all cancers are found in the oral cavity), and for signs of infection, decay or disease. She will refer her clients to a dentist when needed. [Testimonials] [Our services]
